Gerald Cramer

Gerald Cramer is a co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn, LLC, an investment advisory firm, with close to 50 years of investment experience. Mr. Cramer was associated with the investment brokerage houses of Oppenheimer & Co., where he was a senior partner, and Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Cramer’s civic and professional commitments include membership on the boards of the National Road Safety Foundation and Ripplewood Corporation, a major private equity firm. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Cramer graduated from Syracuse University where he now serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees. He is also Chairman of the Investment and Endowment Committee. He also attended Wharton Graduate School. He has an honorary doctorate in finance from Grand Canyon University. Mr. Cramer has also sponsored and funded a joint venture between Maxwell School of Syracuse University and the Counter Terrorism Committee of IDC. He has also funded academic leadership scholarships for the past seven years for IDC students.
